I have a question regarding my 11 year old daughter’s left kidney. Is it possible to use EFT to improve the function of her left kidney, as it’s only working a quarter of what it’s supposed to, because it is hydronephrotic. A couple of years ago she had an operation to remove some of the damaged tissues on the kidney and the surgeon also moved 2 veins that was pressing on her urinary tract causing the bloating and infections, but it still does not work properly or get better and is still a bit hydronephrotic, but doesn’t cause infections anymore. Expected says her surgeon, but I wonder since she is still young and if cells in our body really can be regenerated, would it be possible to improve the function of her kidney by using EFT and prevent it from further deteriorating over time and prevent it from having to be removed at some point?

I know I have to work with her on some emotional issues as well, as her illness goes back to when she first started school, where she often had unexplained stomachaches, but we didn't find the cause until she started having urinary tract infections a couple of years later. So she may possibly have had pain all this time prior to the infection, but learnt to live with it, as unfortunately we didn't bring her to a specialist earlier, as she stopped complaining after a while and we thought it was nerves of starting school or from eating chewing gum etc, as she was happy when she was home and it didn't seem so bad that it prompted us to see a doctor, which we of course painfully regret. When she grew older she told me that often she had stomachaches and had vomited in school, but the school never called us to pick her up from school or informed us about what had happened, which would have prompted us to act, but they just left her resting on a pillow during school hours and she didn’t tell us about it, maybe because she was too small. She has now moved to a new school and although she is doing well, she is experiencing some emotional issues that I intend to help her with using EFT.

I hope anyone can give me some ideas on how to help my daughter and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

I was just asked by a local Performing Arts center to do a workshop for parents and their children. I'm going to entitle it "Empowering your child". I can easily work with individuals on issues, but was hoping to do tapping for everyone.

Can anyone suggest a format or some ideas for simple tapping exercises or approaches that I can do with everyone? The children will vary in age from 5-12 probably.

Thanks.
Ed

So quietly I tapped out the following:

Even though JM has a nasty cough, he's still a great kid. 3X on the Karate chop point.

I then continues around the rest of the tapping points saying JM's cough.

I did two rounds of this and then tapped in what I wanted for him.

Now JM can get a good and peaceful night sleep

JM is breathing deeply and is sleeping restfully ...

By the time I had gone through this sequence he was snuggled under the covers in a deep, relaxed sleep. The coughing had finished and my job was done.

I went back to bed and gave thanks for my strong healthy son. As a law of attraction coach I know this is an important step, sothat my focus remains on him being strong and healthy and not the coughing.

At the end of last year my son's teacher informed me that the school felt Jack would need to repeat the year. He hadn't been able to get all of his work done and they felt he would struggle if he went up with the rest of the class.

I was devasted. I though somehow I had failed him. Now, I'm a Life Coach and a law of attraction practitioner (which means I know how to create my ideal life). How could this have happened?

Well, we're now a few weeks into the new school year and I know excactly why this happened. What a change. My son is so much happier than ever before and so confident. He's getting all his work done in plenty of time and thoroughly enoying school life. He's now the kid everyone wants to play with and I know this was the best thing that could have happened to him.

So please, If this happens to you, just go with the flow. Trust the schools opinion and you'll more than likely be so grateful it happened and your child will come on leaps and bounds in all areas.

There is no stigma attatched, like there is in UK. It's no big deal and many of the spanish kids repeat at some stage too. It's just how it works here. I wanted to share this experience with you to save any heartache in the future.

Best wishes

Wendy

Each time the phone rang, she would wake up and ask, "did he die:" Of course this was a horrible night and I tapped lots for everyone. When Monday came and for the next several days, she was not able to go to school or if she got there, would not want to stay. I am totally new to this tapping and seem to be hesitating in trying it on "Everything" as I am not sure about what to say. Seems people are repeating the negative stuff all the time and I wondered if they ever reapeated positive stuff instead. Also . . . What is the tapping on the head and where on the head are they tapping? I ask because:

Last week, my newborn grandson came over and we started out having a good time. Then he started crying allof a sudden and my son said he was being a bit fussy lately and attributed it to a belly ache. My husband patted him on the back and carried him around until he exhausted himself and finally fell asleep. I couldn't help but wonder if I could have tapped away his trouble.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of thing? And since a baby cannot talk . . . what do you say when you tap?
Thanks,
Rebecca

Beginning of School

We are just completing our first full week back to school, and TappyBear has already been put into action. On the first day we had three kindergarteners who were not at all sure they were ready for the school experience, and were crying and proclaiming they wanted to go home in no uncertain terms! I introduced TappyBear, showed the students his "power buttons,' did a little tapping and showed the students how they could tap on the power buttons. They calmed down and took their places in the classroom; for a little extra assurance, I left aTappyBear with each student for the day. By the 3rd day, only one of the little students still had a problem separating from her mom in the morning.

It would be great for teachers to tap with their students at the beginning of the year with such setups as, "Even though I'm a little nervous about this year,' "Even though I'm new to this school," Even though I'm already worried about the big tests," etc. Teachers can keep their own stress level down as they help their students to do the same!

And parents, this is a great time to start tapping with your child before they leave for school to get them in a good frame of mind. Tap in some positives: "I love to learn," "Learning is easy for me," "I make lots of new friends."

I had looked into ADHD years ago and have kept an eye on him to watch his behavoir, but i've been fobbed off till now- maybe because I've changed schools and they are more pro-active? Since the phone call I feel terrible- I dont want to wait months for the referral and so that brings me to this site. I'm really willing to try anything to help my son. We have a reward chart and I really try to watch what he eats but its hard because I cant control what he eats at school. Now the summer holidays are here I am ready to hit the ground runnning with timetables, good proper food and I'm going to try tapping! Also on the herbal remedies website said they have the mixture called 'Focus' which I would like to research some more and maybe try that.

i would really like any views, input, things to try and your support is truly grateful.

looking forward to hearing from you

She is a new student who somehow passed the interview with the vice principal to enter the school [I work in an international school in Hong Kong with English language proficiency levels dictating entry] so obviously she spoke enough english to support her enrollment.

Her last school commented about her level of communication but nothing more. I have been working with her for about a week and a half now, everyday - doing EFT and some NLP exercises I've learned. I've used some intuition and some of the phrases I've read in articles about mutism because I'm not getting anything from her. The biggest shift, just vibrationally, was when I asked her to place all her worries in a box [what size? what does it look like?] and somehow get rid of it. She wrote down that she wanted to cook it - so we did a couple of rounds on that - it felt really good but no talking.

Today [Monday], it feels like being back to square one. Any rapport I had built up, now seems to have disipated. Has anyone else worked with a child with this condition? The parents are not really supportive of our efforts and are not encouraging her to participate on any level which makes it very hard for her to make friends, join in on group work and show her knowledge.

looking forward to any ideas

Kat

EFT in theatreworkshops at schools

This is an update for an earlier publication.
EFT came into my life about 4 years ago. It was like meeting a good old friend for the first time. since, he is a guest at my table three meals a day and still very welcome. I would like to tell you how I have integrated EFT into my work. In 1995 I have joined a group of artists who had in mind to experiment the use of theatre as a complimentary educational tool, Outside and within the conventional schooling system. Since we have developed a method using the basic tools of theatre as a discipline to help integrate different groups of the population, who normally wouldn't have the chance to actively interact. Students from so-called black schools with their white school homologues. students from schools in the suburbs with students from central town, children in refugee centres with children from a local native school, etc. The concept is quite simple. we come with a ready-made theatre peace and in a five days intensive workshop we have the children perform on a professional stage in front of an audience. our website www.zinzien.nl is in touch, the English and French versions are still under construction. However I have the text translations, these can be sent if requested.

Sounds stressful for the children? well surprisingly enough they are like fish to water with our method. except for some individuals, this is where EFT comes in with great efficiency. When a child gets angry or becomes anxious and starts crying or goes into a hectic behavior, I take him/her to the side and aske him/her to tell me what's going on. While they are telling me, I hold their hand and tap gently on the gamet point or wrist while surrogate tapping all the points, intuitively testing there openness to the process. If receiving a positive(which is usually the case), I proceed to gentle tapping on highbrow, side of the eye, under the eye and under the arm, all while keeping hold of their hand. In most cases the results are immediate, tears stop, the facial expression relaxes , the breathing regulates and deepens. eventually the child seems to have this pleasantly surprised look of ''what happened?'' for the rest of the workshop day, While participating with ease in the workprocess. One of the principles and workshop conditions is that the regular teachers of the students will participate in the workshop as an equal member of the group. You can imagine that this might bring up a few issues and major migraines. no worries, they where EFTed away as well. Naturally, this creates interest, which I have learned to answer channeling my enthusiasm into digestible metaphors, allowing some of those new ideas to grab hold.
Project I’m in the process of initiating, called ''greenhouses effect''. These are ecological homes spread across Europe, to be educational centres for energy self-sufficiency. Energy self-sufficiency, not only on the level of wind and water energy, solar panels, cradle to cradle http://www.mbdc.com/ materials , etc, but also , personal energy management, using EFT as a key opening the door to a large spectrum of biomagnetic-energy management tools. These homes will be the beating heart of teams formed in each region delivering on a regular basis workshops to different groups of children inside and outside the conventional educational system, using our method and its complimentary benefits. These homes, I call them homes because those centres are run by a family residing at location. These homes will allow people to examine the possibility of environmental friendly lifestyle whether the environment is external or internal.

Other projects are springing up internationally that include EFT in the treatment and support of young people. Among the projects this forum will be following this year is The Grace Process International which is working with youth in Rwanda. If you or someone you know has an interest in helping children in the Third World, the work of selfless practitioners like Deborah Miller www.findthelightwithin.com and Lori Leyden of The Grace Process http://www.createglobalhealing.org/ need support through greater awareness.

EFT was built on the generousity of Gary Craig and the pioneers who used it and promoted it when few had heard of it and fewer still would invest in it. Individuals like Deborah and Lori continue that tradition by bringing EFT to young people in have not parts of the world. Visit and share their sites with others. As EFT has grown, so eft4Kids! and the various projects and project leaders looking to bring this tool to young people will grow - person by person, child by child.

If you are working with youth or know of other EFT community-based projects which are youth focussed share them here and invite others to participate in our discussion forums so that these remarkable efforts can attract more attention.

EFT Champion Prevails!

Rodolfo, one of my kids with cancer, is my EFT champion. He promised
to tap every day and he did. He went beyond that. He taught his whole
family (sister, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins and even some friends)
how to tap. He created his own community of support that uses EFT to
feel better. All this at the age of 12.

I called to find out how he was doing. It was so emotional to touch
base and find out he is doing fantastically. He had a calcified tumor
in his kidney that he was due to have removed surgically. Since he
feels fine, no pain, no molestations, his doctor told him that he won’t
have to have a surgery. He is ecstatic and so am I.

Rodolfo is a true testament to the power of perseverance and making a choice to feel good.

I am as a consequence not sure of t chehe results and whether I am really making any headway wit the isues I tap for.

I therefore write to you for help with my 14 month old son. He is generally a very happy and amiable baby. Of lately however I have been noticing that he has become extremely clingy and even if i step out of the room to go into the kitchen, he starts crying following me there. I would like to mention that my husband is a consultant and therefore stays out of town 4 days a week. Additionally, he refuses to sleep on his bed even though its next to mine and keeps getting up every hour and he needs to be picked up and patted back to sleep.I do not know if he is just scared that I will leave him and go as well.

I have tried EFT for him on all the above but I do not seem to be making any headway at all. Maybe the phrases I am using are not correct.... I am not sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Apologies for the long email.

I have 2 questions:

1. What set-up phrase to use when tapping on my baby (2.5 months) or toddler (2.5 yrs old)? Should I say - "even though YOU have this ______, YOU deeply and completely accept yourself"? Or is it better to tap on myself as surrogate? and if I'm the surrogate and I have toxins that hinder EFT from working for me (I'm working on this), does that mean I won't be able to surrogate till I'm cleared up?

2. My toddler is terrified of doctors, she screams and wails and uses all her might to avoid a visit to the doctor. I've tried tapping on her "even though you're afraid of doctors, you deeply and completely accept yourself" before we enterd the doctor's office last time, but it didn't work - she screamed and fought to escape same as always. Was I doing it wrong?

Thanks a lot,

I would like to put together some scripts to surrogate my child of 3 years and half and for this purpose I will try to explain the situation a little bit.

He has had some episodes of ear infections and now a polyp in his nose. I took him to every possible health care practitioners dealing in natural healing. Among them a reflexologist/cranial-sacral/therapist and a kinesiologist.

Both explained that his phisical ailments are of emotional nature: a sort of conflict with me, he feels loved but not accepted.

it is an emotional issue linked to me, and himself as well, for a little part he is also struggling to accept himself.

The reflexologist found that his root chakra and throat chakra are not working properly, that the left ear (the one with hear loss and recurrent ear infections) are related to a conflict with a female character: I said right away: it must be me, he is most of the time with me, there are not too many people in his life and I don't leave him with anybody. She said the throat also represents verbal conflicts and problems in comunication (this has been my problem too and my throat chakra is blocked too ).

During this path I also came accross the explanation given by Louise Hay for the hearing loss and ear problems and they really refer to too much arguing, the wish from the child to seal off, not wanting to hear and so on.

And the kinesiologist explained that the nose is related to the issue of "control" (most probably from me).

The kinesiologist added that my son also has an issue for not having the father around:the absence of the father is playing some role, and it's more the fear of not seeing the father than the fact that he is not available per se'.

If I describe the mother I am - or better the person I am I would say that:

I have some emotional issues (lack of self-esteem, control, guilt, etc,) I am a single parent and also have some phisical issues which would make me often feel tired and therefore less tolerant to the normal behavior of a toddler.

My "emotional healing" is not an easy path: I have been a "negative" person most of my life and in spite of the fact that I have tried many things,

then I kind of "bounce back" to my original print. When my son was born I wanted to give him the best I could (( I have breastfed him for 3 years / when he was an infant I would run to him at his first cry / I never let him with a baby sitter, I still co-sleep with him beside his crib / I just wanted to tell him: I am here for you baby )), so I started insisting on getting better myself in order to benefit him

for me raising a kid has resulted being the most difficult thing. Being a parent has meant to me like landing on mars: know nothing about it,and things are not natural to me.

Don't know how to talk to them, when they fuss, instead of taking into consideration that they are just kids, I start getting nervous and feel lost.

I have spent lot of time reading about parenting, watching videos about parenting, and I also attended parenting classes,

Surely breastfeeding was a wonderful bonding, and once I weaned him his ear infections started flaring, (he would never want to be weaned, still today he comes to me, put his face on my *** and say: I love teat mom I love to nurse).

It's a fact that I am always stressed out, always in a hurry, always trying to accomplish one million things.

It's a fact also that I am always anxious about the fact that he might get hurt, if I compare myself to the mothers at the park, I definetely can say that I am very anxious.

In my whole life I have been used to manage my time the way I wanted, but with a child this is impossible and I definetely miss my freedom.

SO WHAT I am trying to do now is to put into practice more all the things that I have learnt, like positive thinking and positive affirmations,I am using several EFT scripts for myself (gratitude/self love/awakening early morning) I am doing some yoga (breathing).

The reason of my post is that I would like to add another EFT EXERCISE, this time it would be a surrogate tapping for my child, but I can't find the words to put together:

they would be :

--words concerning his anger (he surely must have anger stored in his body)

--words concerning the stress from me ("let's go we are late, we have to run now, come on let's go")

--words concerning his phisical ailments as well (hear loss - ear infections - nasal polyp)

--words concerning the lack of his father

--words concerning the wish to express himself the way he wants (this issue came up too)

In the latest 2-3 monthes I also noted that while he talks (he knows a lot of words in 2 languages) he does not make the sentence right away, he puts words together but as if in his brain he is still looking for them, as if he is stammering. And this make me think once again that it could be related to the throat charka.

I am already pronouncing in front of him things like "I want to feel good - I approve of myself - my body heals itself " and ask him to repeat them with me in a sort of game.

I cannot explain how much I feel bad knowing that this little Golden Soul that God gave me is ill because I am not yet the mother I want to be.

I cannot explain the amount of guilt that circulates in my body, in my mind, everywhere in me for that.

I thank in advance for any help.

lu

In this film a courageous mother takes on the unlikely challenge of working with a collection of autistic adolescents and teens to create a stage show. Her success is likely measured more in the determination shown than in any significant, long term improvements in the young people, but I couldn't help wondering what would have been the outcome had someone like our Deborah Miller, or Christine Morin, or Jan Yordy, or any of the other pioneering EFT practitioners working with children and teaching them EFT had been a part of that project.

Throughout the world there are institutions, clinics, schools and youth groups of many kinds trying to education, heal, discipline, coach and otherwise positively influence the lives of the young people in their care. With the progress that some are making using EFT the day is approaching when adults concerned about the welfare of their chldren will automatically add EFT to the tools and resources they use. The work being profiled on these pages is a testimony to this movement.

If you know of a organization that could benefit from an introduction to EFT why not point them to the many resources and information sources now online including these discussions and the practitioners who are sharing their experiences here. Just as our membership is growing through the efforts of our moderators, so will those we can inform about EFT and that can only help many more children in so many more circumstances of need.

Reading -- she thinks she can -- but she can't

I am wriitng about my 7 year old daughter, Alexa. Her teacher has informed me that she is really struggling academically in school, but when asked about reading, she beams and calls herself a good reader. However, when we read together she really struggles with sounding out words and does not want to practice. From word to word she cannot remember vowel sounds and.or patterns (can, fan, man).

I want to use EFT to tap with her around her reading -- or inability to read. The only problem is that she thinks she reads just fine! :) She does not complain of not being able to read -- or spell or write. How do I tap without saying: "Even though reading is hard for me . . ."
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

My 5.5 year old son has Sensory Processing Disorder and has increased anxiety about many things. However, his fear of monsters and ghosts in the house is escalating and he now won't go to the bathroom without me standing outside the door. I can't be in any other room in the house without him standing right next to me. How do I relieve his fears and help him to be comfortable in his own home? I tried tapping on him while he talked about his fears, but, his imagination runs away with him and he went from talking about monsters/ghosts to intruders coming into our home and how he wants to protect himself. He didn't get any relief from my tapping.
Thanks,
Charlene
