    Deepak Chopra on Parenting

     Hi all !

When it comes to parenting I love to share this story from Deepak Chopra. It's not directly related to EFT, but it

might give you some Ideas what qualities to go and tap for not only in parenting but as an educator and counsellor also.

In his book "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success" Chopra tells about parenting his two kids. From age 4 on he taught them

how to meditate (nowadays he might teach them EFT as well). He told them not to worry about grades or their later income as long as

they keep asking  themselves the following questions:

    1. What is your special gift ?

    2. What can you give to the world ?

Taking it one step further, he promised to support them financially if they can't when they are adult.

According to Chopra they always had good grades and where finacially independent in college.

Please note, how one question ballances the other out in terms of self vs. community and receiving vs. giving.

May EFT help to bring about those qualities in as many people as possible.

    Cheers,

    Dirk

    Hi Dirk.

    I love this story!

I am also excited about this new forum. I have 2 daughters, 3 and 4 and I use EFT on them all the time for all sorts of issue. My oldest always asks me to "do her buttons" when she has a tummy ache! :) And my youngest who loves dolls, taps on their heads :)

     All the best.

    Marina.

    Thanks Dirk,.

I am deeply enthusiastic about the concept of 'getting them early' and Deepaks approach is exactly what we need. You see,. Many clients over time when it comes to LOA and other 'good things come to my life' ideals, have their biggest hangups, because we as parents have sometimes told our children, that if they do not do this,..(whatever that may be) They will not turn out right. Their lives will be all messed up and they will be a horible failure,. (A little dramatic, but none the less true!)

By telling Kids to be and to know that all will be OK,. they can stop feeling guilty about the past,. stop worrying about the future, and what is best!  Work on being OK now!  Like many of the Sudburry schools. (Research that one)  Kids thrive in the now,...

I have 2 clients (15/17) that were under such stress about 'getting in to the right college',..that their grades began slumping off. Performance anxiety due to future events that were yet not clear. We tapped on that and reduced the intensity of the need to get into a particular college with a particular sholarship to just doing my best today and now. Grades went back up and guess what,. the final GPA was so high that they were recruited to a whole new university with a full sholarship whereas before they were only envisioning a half one.

    Life is Good,..(Darauf einen Dujardin)

    Blessings

    Till
