    Re: OCD

Hi Have his parents tap in separate sessions on everything that is in the way in their lives and in the family of his healing. This may take several sessions. Assess the dangerousness of the self-harm and talk with him and his parents about protection. Since there is a great need for control with OCD ask him where to start. Then proceed on the symptom. Begin having him tap on each symptom beginning with the anticipatory thoughts and what led up to it. Then help him make a list of soothing behaviors he can begin to replace the compulsive behaviors with. Tapping gently could be one. Tap on accompanying anxiety. explain to him the differences in his brain and having tap on "different brain". Keep consulting with people on this. Blessings, Mary Hammond MA LPC
