    two-year old in the hospital

I was so grateful to know a little bit about EFT last month when my two-year-old grandson was in the hospital.  He had been throwing up for a week, but had no fever, and know one knew what his problem was.  He was in the hospital for a few days, with all kinds of tests being done, before the doctors decided to do exploratory surgery, found a blockage in his intestines, and fixed it.  During the time he was in the hospital, I could get him to calm down by tapping either the collarbone point or beside his eye and saying over and over things like, "This hurts so much, but everyone loves Jonathan."  When he had to have a CT scan, his mother and I were permitted to be with him (wearing the lead aprons).  We were a little concerned that he would get freaked out, but we each held one of his hands, and I tapped on the gamut point while saying, "This is scary, but everyone loves Jonathan."  He went to sleep and stayed asleep until after the CT scan was over.  I was amazed!

    Hello Sheryl,

How wonderful. Been in the position to help your granson like this when he is in a foreign and potentially scary situation is priceless. Better than any medication in the world!

I think my daughter might agree with you.  At one point, when Jonathan was crying and obviously uncomfortable with the IV in his hand, I started tapping on him and talking to him, and he relaxed and went to sleep.  My daughter commented, "Grandmommy's better than morphine!"  That may be a little bit of an exaggeration, but I was certainly grateful to be of some help to him.
