    EFT and Hirschsprung's disease

Hi We're attempting to toilet train our 3-year old son who was born with Hirschsprung's disease. He had definitive surgery a week after birth so has a functional bowel, but there are definite issues with stool formation. Has anyone had any experience using EFT to assist with toilet training? And has anyone used EFT in the context of Hirschsprung's disease. Would be really grateful for any responses! Thanks heaps.

After reading about this disease, or what I call an issue. Disease is a Dr's termfor when they don't know what the heck it is and don't know what to do. We, in the EFT world call it and issue and nothing else. I would be glad to talk more to you about this privately. I have not had a chance to help someone in this condition, however, I have helped many with issues/conditions that the Dr's can not.

    Hello,

First, allow me to say that your son is well within the normal age limits of bowel training although it is never soon enough for the parents. Second, what do you mean by difficulty with stool formation?  If all is functioning well, he should get the hang of, just like any other child his age.  Please share a little more about what you and your son are experiencing behavior wise.

    Re: EFT and Hirschsprung's disease

Many thanks for your response! My son doesn't form normal stools, it comes out as a slurry - a thickish, blackish paste. It's very sticky so there's really no possibility of him learning to use the toilet while it's like this. This is quite common for a child born with Hirschsprung's, in which the "dis-eased" or aganglionic bowel is removed so the functional bowel can be reattached to the anus. We're told as he gets older (possibly school age!?) that his bowel will adapt and a new rectum will form, allowing stool to accumulate and form a proper poo! {The tendency then is for children to develop an underactive bowel causing constipation.} Anyway, I'm really interested in EFT to facilitate this adaptation, but without any real understanding of how it can be applied (for example, what emotional issues others have focused on in similar situations). I guess I'm hoping that it's not just a simple physical problem, but that there are underlying emotional issues that when addressed may be helpful.
