16 yo dd with Asperger's and resulting anxiety/depression

I just now learned about this technique and wanted more info on how I can best help my dd with her anxiety/depression problems. A lot of her anxiety issues stem from not being comfortable in social situations (always feels awkward and feels she doesn't fit in) and she's left feeling like she doesn't have any friends that like her. She also has a HUGE self esteem problem because of this(and other reasons) and says her disability is ruining her life. She gets very upset at times and cries a lot. I put her on some herbs recently in hopes of helping her cope a little better (we already tried the anti-depressants----made her more moody/depressed and she wanted to sleep all the time), but I'm hoping to give her some tools she can use to get the negative, and sometimes pervasive, thoughts out of her head. Any advice on how to get started? We are also on a limited income, so I'm planning on just using the free program for now. Will it still be as effective as using the more advanced DVD's? I would love it if the EFT could be used for some other health problems that me and my other daughter have as well. But, my 16 yo is my first priority right now.

    Thank you!

Hi daniden, Thank you for being so proactive in your quest to help your daughters. You have found the greatest tool ever for working with these issues. In my experience of working in the school setting, I have ran into students that fight against the usual EFT protocol. In those situations I have had success with tapping on the student positive remarks. I am a great kid. I can do anything. I am a good friend. People like me even though I'm different. I am smart. Others have disabilities, so what! I like being me. After several tapping applications, sometimes being a surrogate when necessary, I eventually have had the students tap on themselves. Our morning routine, starts with - Even though I am but a child, I am an incredible child. I know this. Because I am a SuperKid. I deserve to be loved for being me. I know this, because I am a SuperKid. I can speak with good purpose. I can do this....because I am a SuperKid. The students now have the knowledge, I deserve to be loved for being me. i know this. Making a bathroom poster where the words are infront of your family several times a day may aid your quest. Good luck!
