I am raising a 6 year   old boy with Hirshprungs. He had a pull through done when he was 10#. Right now we are trying to regulate him with laxative therapy. It works sometimes, but we still have a lot of problems with leaks and or melts. Is there anyone who is in the same situation and has had any luck with anything? would really appreciate any help available.

Let me assure you you are doing fine.Just remember the quality of life for patients with Hirschsprung’s disease depends on psychosocial factors and not on childhood suffering or chronic symptoms.
