My granddaughter, age 6, was awakened and told her dad was in the hospital. Her mom was going to the hospital and I (her grandma) was coming to be with her.  Unfortunately, she overheard some of the discussions and realized her dad had tried to kill himself with an overdose of pills. Each time the phone rang, she would wake up and ask, "did he die:"  Of course this was a horrible night and I tapped lots for everyone. When Monday came and for the next several days, she was not able to go to school or if she got there, would not want to stay. She missed her daddy.  The school called and said she was hysterical and could I come get her.  Her mom had to stay at work or lose another day's pay or her job! I had worked with her before with tapping so we tried it again.  I am pleased to report that after only a short time she was able to stop the hysterical crying and return to class.  The tapping was simple.  Even though I really miss my daddy and I don't want him to die, I'm a good kid. I'm safe. This stuff works!

Thank you for sharing with the community this powerful example.The techniques can be used to dampen the highest of  feelings and emotion. This  young vulnerable child was empowered to vocalise ther feelings yet calm her own disruption at the same time. Yes this stuff works - all the time, with the most moving and surprising ways.
