What an exciting time to be alive. We have all followed different paths in life, but all of us have ended up here. At a place in life where we are using EFT to help children and teens. It is no coincidence that this tool has ended up in our hands and we now have the responsibility to share it.
I am thrilled that there is this place where we can come together to share, learn, and grow. In the process, we will all become better at what we do. I am honored to be on this journey with you!

Re: Welcome Practitioners!
Hi Sue
I am a welfare worker in a primary school and I refer to EFT as my magic wand. It has revolutionised counselling and group work and has given our little people access to self healing and a peek at energy work. The children love it and are so keen to share it with family and friends. We are giving future generations a golden opportunity and I too am honoured to be sharing this journey. Thank you, Colleen

Re: Welcome Practitioners!
Hello Sue,
Thank you, you have summed up my feelings so well.
I am very passionate and dedicated EFT practitioner, as well as a teacher , tutor and mother of two.
Every day I feel so very fortunate and humbled to be able to use techniques of EFT with children of all ages.
Fear, guilt, shame, loneliness, exam anxiety, the "I can't do's", bullying, lack of confidence, self worth and image are a few of the endless issues that I help children regularly to feel differently about. The empowering process of EFT that children experience is priceless. Nothing makes my heart sing more that having a child (who I have previously worked with) approach me and whisper how they felt when they decided to use EFT for another problem and it had worked!
It is my true desire that every child be given the opportunity to learnt these techniques young and use them in a positive mannner for allowing them to feel great about themselves - because they are !
In such a vein, I am busy compiling an ebook, which hopefully will be ready by Mid July - "A Gift for the Next Generation - EFT for babies, children and young adults. I sincerely welcome any contributions or comments.
My daughters have also written a fabulous EFT song for children with tapping point movements, which I am ready to record soon and make available.
Thanks Gary, for the simple gift of EFT and daily I return to you all the hugs that you have passed out to the world so freely.
Hugs

Re: Welcome Practitioners!
Sue,
I'm just exploring the EFT world. I have worked with children as a school counselor for 20 years and for the past 15 have been in private practice. Can you recommend how to get started? Is it necessary to go through training to learn the technique?
Thanks, Carol

Re: Welcome Practitioners!
Hi Colleen,
How wonderful that you are using EFT in this manner. It is really becoming quite "main stream" if you will. Children really gravitate toward it. It works so well for them and they don't have the reservations that some adults have about trying it. They just do it, and it works. EFT is a gift to all of us. We are so fortunate to have found it. Children are also very lucky to be learning it. I know my children use it all the time and I do wish it had been around when I was a child.

Re: Welcome Practitioners!
Christine,
How exciting that you are writing this e-book. I wonder if you have experienced something that I did while I was writing Tap into Joy...
That is, something sort of takes over you and the words just keep coming out of you. My fingers would just type and type, and when I would go back to read what I wrote, I would think, perfect, just what I wanted. I think that when you work toward helping children, that the Universe just allows everything to flow through you. Have you experienced this?
I am happy to meet someone with such similar interests. Good luck with your e-book. I am anxious to hear your daughters song.
I love the title for the e-book.
Best Wishes,
Sue

Re: Welcome Practitioners!
Hi Carol,
I think the best thing you can do is practice EFT. Download the manual off www.emofree.com for starters. You can also find a diagram of the tapping points on my website, www.tapintobalance.com under services and EFT. Practice on yourself. Work on any issues that you are dealing with personally. Pay attention to any emotions that surface, then work on those emotions.
You will get comfortable with the technique pretty quickly. I would recommend working with someone with a fear after you get comfortable working on yourself. Make sure that you rate the intensity (SUDS rating) of the problem. This is simply rating the problem before you apply EFT, on a scale of 0 - 10. Then after you work through a round of tapping, rate the intensity again. As you get comfortable with the process, you or your "client" will be able to feel the intensity going down.
I would recommend just diving into it. Come back and post any questions that come up. There will be many experienced EFTers here that can help you.
Good luck as you proceed. I am confident that you will love it and that it will work more quickly than conventional methods.

Mary,
You may have noticed that your post is blank. It may be because you have parental controls or content advisor prohibiting you from posting. You may want to try to repost your message and we will see if it comes through.

Re: Welcome Practitioners!
Hello Sue,
Nice to have this forum. I am so excited about EFT every day. It is such a wonderful gift. Even though I had a good and happy life before I discovered EFT, my life and Universe around me just is so much more rich and wonderful. Not least because of what I can share with friends, family and clients every day.
Keep in touch.

Re: Welcome Practitioners!
Hi Christine,
I agree, it is a great forum and I know it will continue to grow and expand as more people find out about it. This is really only a couple of days old and I feel like we already have a wonderful group to share with. I know that EFT has changed my life for the better, and continues to do so everyday. I have seen so many lives transformed that it is just impossible not to be excited about it.
Blessings,
Sue

Re: Welcome Practitioners!
Hello to all of you!
I am a registered nurse who works as a triage coordinator for psychiatric admissions in a hospital in Massachusetts. I learned EFT last summer and am blown away by it! Since then I have attended many conferences and have watched all of Gary's videos, and have read many books and now I am ready to branch out. I started doing EFT groups in the partial hospitalization program, and the patients love it! We have a kids unit, and the psychiatrist thinks it would be a great thing if I came to the unit and did a tapping group there too. Since I have never worked specifically with kids, does anyone here have any recommended reading for me? I know that kids basically "get it" a lot easier than adults who tend to over analyze, and perhaps I should just go in and do it! Any suggestions from forum members would be appreciated. The unit takes kids from age 5-16.
Thanks and many blessings to all of you,
Tina

Re: Welcome Practitioners!
hello Tina,
I'm stepping in here to point out that both moderators of this forum have written excellent books on the topic of EFT and kids and you will do well to acquire both. I'll also point you the Parent's Discussion Group and the post "Best Starting Point with Kids" in which the moderator also supplies the leads you can begin with.
Best wishes and please report to us any work you do in your hospital.
Be well,
Eric

Re: Welcome Practitioners!
Hi Carol,
EFTers have learned it from a variety of sources. There are several options. The first would be to download gary's free manual on www.emofree.com. Next would be to view his first 2 sets of DVDs. You can begin to use it right away. That said, I truly believe that a live seminar is invaluable. Check out workshops under resources for a Level I EFT workshop. Good luck.
