4 Year Old with Peanut Allergy & Itchy (Psoriasis) Skin Condition

I am new to EFT and have a 4 year old with the following:

    (1) Peanut Allergy

    (2) Itchy skin condition (Psoriasis like) - seems to get triggered by eating wheat, milk and sugar, but is not sure. Here skin looks terrible and she is constanly itching.

Any help and guidance will be appreciated.

    TC,

Hi, I guess you have gained the medical low down on the conditions your 4 year old has.

You can use tapping in a number of ways to help with the emotions surrounding the symptoms. At a later date perhaps we may consider underlying causes.

You can introduce her to tapping by making it a fun activity, getting her to copy the points whilst using a simple set up phrase like, "These are my tapping points". Alternatively if she is reluctant you can use an ordinary teddy or doll and show your daughter the points. This is usually sufficient to gain interest before she will want to have a go. Be inventive and casual- that usually works.

Once you have her interest then you can introduce some real phrases so that she can help Mummy. Ask her to tap along with you because you are a bit annoyed at.... or have a headache..... or don't know what is the best decision for .... is, etc. Children usually love to be able to help, even at this age.

See how that goes. That maybe enough for her to start with. If so leave it while things are going good and come back to tapping as a happy thing to do (capitalise on her good time). If she is keen to continue then, she may offer some 'issues' herself. Just listen to her words, don't be tempted to interpret them, just use her words as a set up, eg. I'm annoyed , my leg hurts.....

Hope this is helpful as a start. Happy to give you more direction just ask away.

    Hi TC,

after you introduced her to EFT as  CHristine described, you can just tap on the things she is allergic to:

Even though I have a problem with peanuts, I know that I am a great kid

Even though my body has a problem with peanuts, and it might be an allergy, I know my mommy and daddy love me

Even though I am angry that I can't eat peanuts like my friends do, I am OK with this now

Even thoug I am nervous because my skin itches, I know that my friends thingk I am great

    ...you get the idea

It is sometimes advisable to use "problem with" instead of allergy, because not every substance sensitivity is an allery in the clinical sense.

Just tap on the substance itself, it doesn't matter if you know or just guess if there is a problem, since tapping causes no harm, and cover all the products you can think of.

A great way to start might be with the itching, because this relief will be easy to measure. Spread your arms out wide and ask her if it itches "thiiis much", or ...bring your hands together... "this much" then tap, using her words, and check in again. Just make sure you find some way to test the results before you expose her to the substance. Muscle testing might work, too.

    Hope this helps

Please let us know how it goes

    Love

    Ingrid
