Very many thanks for your reply to my query. Those sound most practicable and collaborative ways to prepare for sleep for a little person who is very close to her mum. Both will enjoy it, I'm sure.

I am intrigued by this Energy angle which resonates so well with my Hypnotherapeutic approach and look forward to reading more now.

So lovely to receive both helpful replies.

Regards,

Perhaps an evening story telling may help, by having the child talk about anything that went "wrong" during the day, anything that scared, angered, disappointed or frustrated them while tapping on the tapping points. This may set the child at ease so they go into their sleep feeling more comfortable and at peace. I have feedback from many parents who use this technique as I suggest in Tap into Joy, and have great success with it.

Wishing you success!

Re: EFT for night terrors in a 5 year old

Very many thanks for that, Christine.

Night terrors are hardly ever recalled. Even though the person will seem terrified and can sometimes even have a conversation with you they are usually still in a deep state of sleep. They may be able to look around the room and misinterpret the furniture for scary objects, monsters , etc.

I can throughoughly recommend using EFT for helping a young person or anyone who has night terrors in an attempt to encourage a peaceful night sleep. The routine of the bedtime tuck can be done with any young person as part of their settling down routine.I think that it is this site in a previous post. If you cannot find it, email me back.

Another point to mention is a little tapping for how you feel about the night terrors can be helpful for yourself perhaps. "Even though I worry that .....will keep getting these night terrors, I ....." Even though, I am worried that these night terrors will affect........, I accept..."

Hope some of this helps

Best Wishes

Christine
